Among the standout performers was Leo, a student who achieved seven Grade 9s, three Grade 8s, and an A* in A Level Maths, which he completed early alongside his GCSEs. The success of Chiswick School is mirrored across the borough of Hounslow, where schools have reported strong GCSE results. In Maths, 77.8% of students achieved a Grade 4 or above, surpassing the national average of 71.2% and the London average of 76.9%. English results were similarly impressive, with 82.6% of students achieving a Grade 4 or higher, compared to 71.2% nationally and 77% across London. Hounslow schools continue to excel in the English Baccalaureate, which assesses success across core subjects.
Councillor Samia Chaudhary, Hounslow Council's Cabinet Member for Education, Children, Skills, and Employment, praised the borough's schools for outperforming national and London averages. She congratulated the students and schools for their exceptional exam results and acknowledged the tireless efforts of headteachers and teachers in ensuring that young people, including those with special educational needs, are well-equipped with the skills and knowledge they need for a brighter future.
Councillor Chaudhary also celebrated the achievements of 14 adult students from 'Learn Hounslow' who succeeded in their GCSE exams. She commended their determination to earn recognised qualifications and advance their careers, noting that 'Learn Hounslow' has empowered these adult students by offering flexible courses that enable them to reach their potential.
