Chiswick House Prices Fell In 2023, Still Higher Than London Average

If your home-buying plans extend into 2024, insights into London's 2023 housing market changes are crucial.

While London's average property price stands at £534,977, certain boroughs have seen fluctuations.

In 2023, areas like Ealing and Tower Hamlets witnessed price decreases, while Hammersmith and Fulham, as well as Barnet, saw continued increases.

Merton, particularly with its iconic Wimbledon, experienced the most significant drop, with a 5.8% decrease, resulting in an average house price of £694,521 as of December 2023.

Meanwhile, Hounslow, situated in the southwest, saw a 4.7% decline in property prices, settling at an average of £581,638—just above the London average.

Chiswick, known for its charm, excellent dining options, and tranquil atmosphere, remains an attractive yet relatively expensive option. Recognized as one of the sought-after neighborhoods in the capital, Chiswick boasts outstanding schools, making it an ideal choice for those considering starting a family.

Enfield, another London borough, now has an average property price of £491,436, placing it below the capital's average.
